Got questions? We have answers!
A typical build for a Foundation Web Site is 4 – 6 weeks. This can vary a little depending on how busy we are. However we find most web sites are only delayed when we are waiting for web site content from the client. We always provide assistance to clients in planning their content, but if you’re struggling to write your content we highly recommend you talk to us and we can help you write it. We also provide stock photography, and can put you in touch with a reputable photographer or videographer if you need them.
Absolutely! Your web site will be powered by WordPress, the industry standard Content Management System (CMS). WordPress is incredibly powerful, but it is also designed to make it relatively easy for web site owners to update the web site themselves, particularly regular tasks like adding/editing deleting menu items, pages, and photos. So if you can use Microsoft Word, you can edit your own web site too.
We also provide access to some advanced add-on tools (known as “plugins”) to manage specific content types, which give you more advanced page editing features, makes it easy to build photo galleries, simple to add online forms, to manage your search engine optimisation if you wish, and so on.
Whilst there is an enormous amount of help documentation for WordPress online, PerthWeb also provides simplified documentation for the most commonly used features, Australian based training videos, and hands-on training is also available for you and your team. And of course, if you need support, or just want us to do the work for you, we’re only a call or an email away.
PerthWeb are happy to manage your web site on an ongoing basis. We have a dedicated support & maintenance department, and can provide advice or alter your web site at short notice and in minimal time, leaving you to focus on running your own business. We can charge for this work on an hourly basis at $143/hr including GST, or alternatively, you can pre-purchase time at a discounted rate, where we use the time cumulatively, so you are only charged for precisely the time that is used. Find out more about support & maintenance packages & rates.
PerthWeb also manages WordPress itself for most of its clients, . Much like Microsoft Windows, there are frequent updates for WordPress, including both feature upgrades, bug fixes, and security fixes. Whilst it is possible to manage these updates yourself, things can occasionally go wrong, leaving your web site partially operational or worse. Web sites can also on occasion be “hacked”, although this is rare if a web site is fully patched. PerthWeb provides a service where it takes care of updates and web site security, and this includes backups, up-time monitoring, and resolving any issues that may occur in a timely manner. We know budgets can be tight. Some businesses also just don’t have enough content for a full web site.
No problems, consider our Single Page Website, which costs $2000, and can easily be expanded into a full web site later if required. We can also design simple Landing Pages for advertising campaigns if required.
The answer is yes. Facebook can provide an introduction to your company, and help build a loyal audience, but not everyone uses Facebook. And it’s quite a limited platform, that is heavily structured to meet Facebook’s needs, not yours. Potential clients can be distracted by other content and even advertisements for your competitors.
The world wide web is still the most commonly used platform by people for searching for what they need online. It’s the platform that can be customised best to tailor a message, sell a service or product, and deliver your goals. Facebook Business pages are often instead a great way of delivering traffic to your web site. But the reality is, that in order to target your market effectively, you need to consider all mediums, both online and offline, as part of your marketing strategy for your business.
So speak to a professional, who can help your business determine the best path forward, and grow.
PerthWeb produce logos and web sites for new businesses regularly. We also refresh existing branding for businesses.
It actually makes a lot of sense to have the same designer produce your logo, additional branding materials (like business cards and brochures), and your web site at the same time, to help produce a consistent result.

Of course. We take our clients through a consultative planning process to help ensure any web site designs we produce will really work for them. But on occasion, things can go awry, it’s human nature. So we always make sure we find out what didn’t work, and adjust our designs to work for you.
When it comes to written content, sometimes once you see your content placed within a web page, you realise it needs amendment, whether re-wording, more content, or even less content. We include a reasonable level of content revision in our projects to ensure you aren’t unfairly charged for amendments.
Not a problem, we will tailor the package to suit your needs. If it’s just an extra page or two you need, we often don’t charge for simple additional content.
The hard work in web site development typically occurs in the design and initial build phase, where the web site needs to be built to function across multiple platforms.
Actually creating pages with simple content does not take long, and so if you want 30 pages, not 15, it certainly doesn’t double the project cost.
